11-6-10

We drove up to DC with Hunta. Madeline is sitting in front of the Air & Space museum.

It might not be evident from her expression, but Emma loves the train rides into and out of the city.

Molly turned six on 10-31, but it's hard to celebrate her birthday on Halloween. I don't think she minded - cake any time is good.

Molly's Halloween costume was a Christmas present of mine when I was three or four (it did not include the pink cowgirl hat). She has become quite the little poser.

Emma chose to be a black cat again.

I'm pretty sure this is what Madeline wears most days anyway.

Picture fun with Madeline! She does have a few inches on Dea now, but I don't think she will make it to 6 feet.

And here's Jack.

A beautiful day for picking apples at Carter Mountain. Too bad the pink ladies weren't ready, though.

Camping in Shenandoah

We took the little girls on their first camping trip at the end of May. We made them share the big tent with Mad, and Dea & I slept in one of my smaller ones. They all ended up in one big pile around 4am.

Camping with Goober & his boys.

These are some photos from the camping trip I took with Goober & his boys back in April. It made me glad I have all girls.

Maine again

After leaving in Acadia, we had to stop in Freeport and visit L.L. Bean

The cashier suggested we eat lunch at a restaurant at the Freeport Town Wharf (it was located several miles away from town and we would never have gone without the recommendation). The seafood was fantastic, but the harbor reaked of fish guts.

We stumbled upon Delorme's world headquarters. If you don't know, they create and publish maps.

More Maine photos

This is how Mad spent most of the trip from NH to ME.

Sand Beach in Acadia; this is the coolest (in both senses of the word) beach I have ever been to.
